The rest is history…

Cemetery Mary and Graves formed “Brawlin 'Bettys” Roller Derby in July 2008. Confusion arose when another team started using our name; in May 2009 we changed our name to "Undead Bettys."

In our first two seasons, we made our name known in California as a formidable B team who unexpectedly won way more bouts than lost. In our third season, we established two travel teams: Undead Bettys, our more competitive charter team, and The Damned Skaters, our B team - otherwise known as our "skaters for fun!"

In November of 2013 Cemetery Mary transferred sole ownership of the “Undead Bettys” to Graves. The league then registered “Undead Bettys” as a Corporation with the Secretary of State in 2015.

In the following year, we became a 501c (3) non-profit organization. The Undead Bettys (dba: Undead Roller Derby) became a full member league with Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) in June of 2015.

We fully became Undead Roller Derby to allow inclusivity to our league as we've always skated with people of all genders. In the past few years, we've had to retire our MRDA team "The Skaters Grim" and our juniors roller derby team, "Bite Club." We hope to bring a new all gender team to our league and hopefully revive Bite Club further down the road.
